This section has been designed with the Do-It-Yourselfers in mind. We have provided you with the steps, in the order they should be performed and links to the sections where our tools are located.

In all cases, each of the steps below should be followed in the order they are presented.

Step 1 - Register your domain name
Your domain name is your unique name on the internet. The most desirable name for your site is your company name. you need to make sure that the name you want is available. [Do-It-Yourself]
Step 2 - Acquire your hosting service
Your hosting service is where your website will be physically located. The hosting company has a server that has an approved connection to the internet. You can order yours from us or Do-It-Yourself
Step 3 - Design your website
Your web pages will be placed in your spot on the hosting servers and be displayed on the internet. You will want your web pages to reflect your company image. We can help you. or Do-It-Yourself
Step 4 - Plan updates
You need to have some part of your website in a constant state of flux. This means that you need to keep providing new information for your customers/users, so that they have a reason to keep coming to your site.
You can do this by having updated information on your products/services, a newsletter, new anything, etc.

Step 5 - Get your site noticed by the search engines and directory services
The search engines and selected directory services are the best way to have new folks find you on the internet. You must be registered with them in order to be a part of their systems. This process is called Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Pricing for this service goes all over the place depending upon how much you want to have happen. For instance, if you just want to be listed with the major search engines and directory services, the cost is less than if you want to be at the top of the search results page for your keywords.
We offer a tool that you can use to accomplish this yourself or again, we offer you these services as well.
Optional Enhancements and fun things
- Sound bites - We recommend an editing program called Audacity. It comes from http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ You can manipulate sound files (including recording them) with this product. It is a free software package that you can start using right away. We use it on a couple of our sites and it is relatively easy to learn.
